历年世界环境日主题

从1974年起，联合国环境规划署每年都为世界环境日确立一个主题，并开展相关宣传活动，以提高人们的环保意识。 ２００７年：“冰川消融，后果堪忧”。中国主题是“污染减排与环境友好型社会” ２００６年，沙漠和沙漠化。中国主题是“生态安全与环境友好型社会” ２００５年，“营造绿色城市 呵护地球家园”。中国主题是“人人参与，创建绿色家园” ２００４年，海洋存亡，匹夫有责（Wanted! Seas and Oceans——Dead or Alive）
２００３年，水——二十亿生命之所系！（Water —— Two Billion People are Dying for It!）
２００２年：让地球充满生机（Give Earth a Chance）
２００１年：世间万物，生命之网（Connect with the World Wide Web of Life）
２０００年：环境千年，行动起来（The Environment Millennium - Time to Act）
１９９９年：拯救地球就是拯救未来（Our Earth, Our Future, Just Save It）
１９９８年：为了地球上的生命－－拯救我们的海洋（For Life on Earth: Save Our Seas）
１９９７年：为了地球上的生命（For Life on Earth） １９９６年：我们的地球·居住地·家园（Our Earth, Our Habitat, Our Home）
